About Us

Over Fifty Years of Professional Servicee-collection

The Philosophy Documentation Center has been serving scholars on a non-profit basis since 1966, earning a reputation for excellence with the publication of reference materials, scholarly journals, book series, conference proceedings, and other materials in philosophy and related fields. We provide a full range of print and electronic publishing services, including secure hosting and access solutions for institutions, individuals, and learned societies. We also provide customized production support and electronic conversion services for publications in many languages. Other services include membership management, order fulfillment, rights management, typesetting and graphic design, conference registrations, and marketing support.

PDC has a unique commitment to the philosophical community. We support essential projects such as TeachPhilosophy101, PhilPapers, and the Stanford Enclyclopedia of Philosophy. We sponsor the annual Prize for Excellence and Innovation in Philosophy Programs with the American Philosophical Association and work closely with the International Federation of Philosophical Societies.
