Philotheos

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Philotheos (ΦΙΛΟΘΕΟΣ) is an international scholarly journal that publishes articles and book reviews in the areas of philosophy and theology, with special focus on issues where the two fields intersect. It is published both in electronic and print formats. No fees are charged for submission or publication in this journal.

Peer Review

Submitted article manuscripts are subject to double-blind peer review. Two reports are ensured for each submission. Book reviews will not be sent to referees, but reviewed directly by the editors.

Type of Contribution

Article manuscripts should not exceed 60,000 characters (including spaces) and book reviews should not exceed 6000 characters (including spaces). Longer submissions may be considered in special cases.

Submission Procedure

Manuscripts should be sent in Word format (.doc) by email to [email protected]. The email should contain the author’s name and affiliation.

We welcome contributions in English, French or German. Manuscripts in other European languages may be accepted if the language is required by the topic.

The journal only accepts original manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. By submitting to Philotheos the author certifies that the manuscript is the author's own work, has not been simultaneously submitted to another journal, and has not been previously published.

Article Manuscripts

A complete submission includes the following:

• Abstract in English (single paragraph, up to 2000 characters with spaces)
• Keywords in English (5-10)
• List of references. Titles not written in Latin script should be transliterated. For Slavic languages contributors are advised to adhere to the following international system: Scientific transliteration of Cyrillic; ALA-LC transliteration guidelines should be observed in all other cases.

Authors should remove their name and any identifying information from the manuscript. The file properties should also be anonymized (the Document Inspector feature in Word can help remove hidden data and any personal information attached to the document).
