The Origination of Historicism: Three Main Versions
The article systematically presents the main versions of the origin of historicism (Neo-Kantian, philosophy of life, phenomenological hermeneutics and archaeology of knowledge). Those versions are compared with the works of historians of late XVIII- early XIX centuries, including understudied. Critical analysis allows to specify the origins of historicism.
