Metaphysical Freedom and Rational Philosophy
The article offers an overview of some contemporary discussions on the metaphysical nature of freedom as well as an analysis of some classical approaches to the problem (Hume, Kant, Heidegger). The author argues that none of the existing solutions is satisfactory but at the same time provides reasons why metaphysical freedom is an indispensable notion. In doing this he strives to stimulate more alternative suggestions and discussions of this basic theme in philosophy.
