Abstracts of Papers from the Tenth Interamerican Congress of Philosophy

The Tenth Interamerican Congress of Philosophy was held in October 1981 at Florida State University. Over 400 people from 35 countries participated and several groups, including the Fédération Internationale des Sociétés de Philosophie, held meetings concurrent with the Congress. This volume presents the abstracts of papers actually presented at the Congress, both individual papers and organized sessions. Each abstract is in the language in which the paper was presented. Additional information about the Congress is included, along with a thematic index of titles.

  • The Tenth Interamerican Congress of Philosophy was sponsored by the Sociedad Interamericana de Filosofia, with support from the American Philosophical Association, the Florida Endowment for the Humanities, Florida State University, the Interamerican Commission on Human Rights, the Organization of American States, the Rockefeller Foundation, the US Agency for International Development, and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
