The Journal of Philosophy of Disability

Forthcoming Fall 2021!

Joel Michael Reynolds and Teresa Blankmeyer Burke, Editors

The Journal of Philosophy of Disability is a new scholarly publication that will examine questions of disability, broadly construed. It will include peer-reviewed articles, review essays, critical responses, commentaries, and occasional symposia on all relevant topics. The editors will welcome scholarship from all philosophical perspectives, including analytic and continental traditions, the history of philosophy, empirically informed philosophy, and other traditions that substantively engage research in philosophy of disability. Philosophical fields engaging questions of disability range from social and political philosophy to phenomenology, normative and applied ethics to philosophy of law, and feminist philosophies of all kinds. The journal will publish original contributions from these and other areas.
