Film and Philosophy is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes articles about film from a philosophical perspective. It is a venue for scholars who believe that motion pictures are a significant art form that can express philosophical ideas and reward aesthetic analysis. Established in 1994, the journal is sponsored by the Society for the Philosophic Study of the Contemporary Visual Arts. Members receive the journal as a benefit of membership.
