A Stakeholder Approach to Investor Preference
The Significance of Demographic and Psychological Factors

This study tests the relationship between demographic and psychological variables, particularly positive psychology, and investor preferences. Of the demographics variables, only gender was related to investor preferences, with women expressing a longer time horizon than men. However, the positive psychology variables of hope and novelty orientation were strongly related to risk tolerance, time horizon, and estate intentions.
