Caribbean Philosophical Association (CPA)
"Shifting the Geography of Reason"
The Caribbean Philosophical Association is a non-profit organization of scholars and lay-intellectuals who share a commitment to the development of an intellectual community truly representative of the diversity of voices and perspectives that is paradigmatic of the Caribbean. Although the focus is on engaging the philosophical work that emerges in the Caribbean, membership is not limited exclusively to philosophers or professional scholars. Any one with an interest in engaging these traditions and playing a role in the development of new ideas can become a member. The CPA is dedicated to assisting with the development of institutions that would preserve thought in the Caribbean and facilitate the creation of new ideas. Membership includes a subscription to the The CLR James Journal and online access to all issues.
CPA membership runs from June 1 through May 31 the following year.
