Cogito was a peer-reviewed journal sponsored by the Cogito Society. Its mission was to bring academic philosophy to a wider readership through the publication of non-technical articles suitable for students and non-specialists. It published interviews with distinguished philosophers, articles on current philosophical activity in schools and universities, reviews, philosophy news, logical puzzles and letters.

Contributors included Simon Blackburn, Daniel Dennett, A. C. Grayling, Ishtiyaque Haji, Rom Harré, and Jonathan Wolff. Established in 1987 at the University of Bristol, Cogito ceased publication in 1999.
