Founded in 1976, the Society has supported innovative scholarship linking analytical and critical approaches to the postmodern world. Sign theories connect the fine arts, literary criticism, linguistics, communication, pedagogy, philosophy, mathematics, law, the human and social sciences, and technology disciplines.
