Bowling Green Studies in Applied Philosophy published thematic volumes of papers from a unique series of conferences on Applied Philosophy. These conferences were sponsored by the Applied Philosophy Program at Bowling Green State University with support from the National Endowment for the Humanities. Applied philosophy is concerned with the implications of theory for human action. These volumes explore philosophical implications of social problems whose solutions require rational planning and decision making.
