Association for Philosophy and Literature (APL)

The Association for Philosophy and Literature is dedicated to the exchange of ideas and scholarly research within the humanities. It is the successor to the International Association for Philosophy and Literature, which organized annual conferences from 1976 to 2013. The APL will continue in the spirit of its predecessor, and provide a venue for discussions at the intersections of philosophical, literary, cultural, textual, visual, medial, art, and aesthetic theories. More information about APL is available at www.philosophyliterature.com.

Membership services for the APL are now provided by the Philosophy Documentation Center. Current members will be able to renew their memberships on this site. Non-members may join the association now.

Membership includes a copy of the ongoing Textures: Philosophy / Literature / Culture series consisting of uniquely focused volumes of essays derived from the APL conferences.

NOTE: the term of membership is a calendar year. All memberships expire December 31.
