The American Philosophical Association Centennial Series contains the presidential addresses of the Association in its first 100 years. Each volume includes biographical sketches, career information, and photographs. The series includes essays by John Dewey, Nelson Goodman, Carl Hempel, William James, Herbert Marcuse, Martha Nussbaum, John Rawls, Richard Rorty, Gregory Vlastos, and many other prominent philosophers. Volume 11 contains interpretive essays on the enduring impact of these addresses.

The Centennial Series was completed under the supervision of Richard T. Hull as a lasting contribution to professional philosophy in the United States.
