Semiotics 2009 contains the proceedings of the 34th annnual meeting of the Semiotic Society of America, held in October 2009. The Semiotic Society of America is an interdisciplinary professional organization that supports innovative scholarship linking analytical and critical approaches to the postmodern world. Each year it sponsors a meeting organized around a particular theme, and each conference volume is based on the theme of the conference. The theme of this meeting was "The Semiotics of Time". It attracted a wide gamut of approaches from several disciplines. Contributors include Joe Balay, Per Aage Brandt, Brooke Wiiliams Deely, Eliseo Fernández, Elliot Gaines, Nataliya Semchynska-Uhl, Stéphanie Walsh Matthews, and many others.
