International Network on Feminist Approaches to BioethicsFAB membership is changing! Beginning in 2008, FAB membership will include a subscription to a new journal published by Indiana University Press, our very own International Journal of Feminist Approaches to Bioethics. Information about the new journal is available online here, and new membership rates and an online subscription form are available here. All FAB membership applications and renewals should be sent to Indiana University Press beginning November 1, 2007. Launched in 1992, the International Network on Feminist Approaches to Bioethics aims to develop a more inclusive theory of bioethics encompassing the standpoints and experiences of women and other marginalized social groups. It examines presuppositions embedded in the dominant bioethical discourse and creates new methodologies responsive to the disparate conditions of women's lives across the globe. FAB is committed to a non-hierarchical model of organization and seeks to include all who share its goals. Academics, professionals, grassroot activists, and concerned persons from all fields are welcome. Posted November 1, 2007 |
