Classical Association of the Atlantic States

The Classical Association of the Atlantic States unites residents of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and the District of Columbia interested in sustaining and promoting the study of Greco-Roman language, literature and culture. The Association's overall purpose is to strengthen the position of classical studies in every possible way by encouraging research, by developing better teaching methods, and by fostering public support.

CAAS publishes the quarterly journal Classical World, which is distributed to all members of the Association as a benefit of membership. CAAS also awards scholarships to support professional development of secondary school teachers, and contributes to, and is represented on, the National Committee for Latin and Greek. More information about CAAS and its activities is available at the Classical Association of the Atlantic States website.
