Guidebook for Publishing Philosophy, 1997 Edition

This edition now freely available in electronic format

Eric Hoffman, Editor

The 1997 edition of The Guidebook for Publishing Philosophy contained brief essays on the preparation and submission of work in philosophy, including essays on publishing in journals, publishing monographs, and electronic publishing. It was intended to help graduate students just beginning to publish as well as experienced scholars with established publishing records, and it filled the niche created by the 1986 edition prepared by Janice Moulton and Marcia Yudkin. This edition was a collaborative effort of the American Philosophical Association and the Philosophy Documentation Center, and has been out of print for some time. Each linked article in the table of contents below is freely available in PDF format. The listings of journals and publishers has not been made available because the information published then is now badlyout of date. A new edition of the Guidebook for Publishing Philosophy is planned and more information will be provided once plans are finalized.
