Directory of American Philosophers,
International Directory of Philosophy and Philosophers
Every two years the Philosophy Documentation Center publishes the
Directory of American Philosophers and the International Directory of Philosophy and Philosophers,
standard reference works that list information on college and university
philosophy departments and programs, philosophical societies,
associations, research centers and institutes, journals, and philosophy publishers around the world.
Together these works provide contact information for over 26,000 philosophers in 137 countries, and
each philosopher's primary subject specialties
has been identified from a controlled vocabulary. All listings are free
and can be updated below. We welcome suggestions for new listings to
help us achieve our goal of providing complete information about
on-going philosophical activity around the world.
Submit Information
To update your free listing in either directory, or to furnish
information for a new listing, please fill out the appropriate forms
below. For verification purposes a valid e-mail address is required with
each submission. If you have any questions about the submission process
or difficulties with the forms, please contact Elizabeth Stombock at data@pdcnet.org.
We can also send you a copy of your current listing if this would be
helpful to you in the update process.
