Design Training and Consulting

The PDC offers design, page layout, and copy-editing training for scholars and independent publishers who need to create professional publications. We can help you with the design and layout of your project, help you establish and maintain a schedule for its completion, recommend software that will meet your requirements, show you how to create and apply style sheets in your desktop publishing application, and teach you to communicate effectively with your commercial printer or publisher. These services are provided on a consulting basis, and the cost varies from project to project. Training can be provided at the Center or on-site at your office, depending upon your particular requirements.

Publications designed at the PDC include: Analytic Philosophy of Religion: A Bibliography, Augustinian Studies (new cover), The Collaborative Bibliography of Women in Philosophy, Epoché: A Journal for the History of Philosophy (layout), Guidebook for Publishing Philosophy, History, Apocalypse, and the Secular Imagination, Idealistic Studies, The Idea of Values, International Corporate Responsibility Series, International Journal of Applied Philosophy, Journal of Philosophical Research, Library of Congress Subject Headings in Philosophy, The Philosopher's Index Thesaurus, Philosophy and Culture, Philosophy and Theology, Proceedings of the American Catholic Philosophical Association, Proceedings of the Twentieth World Congress of Philosophy, Questions: Philosophy for Young People, Social Philosophy Today, and Spiritual Goods: Faith Traditions and the Practice of Business.
