Kevin Coyle on the Book of Revelation in the City of God and Augustine's Preaching; Paul B. Harvey, Jr. on Augustine and Tyconius; Virginia Burrus on the Apocalyptic Feast; Joanna Vecchiarelli Scott and Peter J. Burnell on Martin Heidegger and Hannah Arendt as readers of Augustine; Michael Hollerich on Augustine; and John Milbank and the "Secular." The complete table of contents is available here.

History, Apocalypse, and the Secular Imagination has been indexed in L'Année philologique, Catholic Periodical and Literature Index, Index Philosophicus, Index to Humanities & Social Science Proceedings, International Bibliography of Periodical Literature (IBZ), International Philosophical Bibliography, and Philosopher's Index. The collection was also published in Volume 30, Number 2 of the journal Augustinian Studies.

"Dieses Buch ist eine wahre Fundgrube für alle, die sich mit Älterer Kirchengeschichte, römischer Geschichte, Rezeption der klassischen antiken Literatur, Exegese des Neuen Testaments ... , englischer und amerikanischer Geschichte, politischer Philosophie und Augustin-Rezeption bei Heidegger und Arendt befassen." - Zeitschrift für Antikes Christentum, Volume 8 (2004).

"This book .... is a gem for scholars and would be excellent for a specialist course on The City of God or for post-graduates. The questions that it raises and the arguments put forth are provocative and interesting. They engage the reader even when one wants to dispute an argument." - Church History, Volume 70, Issue 2 (June 2001).

"Current interest in the City of God is well served by this volume. The essays feature a congruence in acumen and depth of erudition often lacking in collections of this sort." - Journal of Early Christian Studies, Volume 8, Issue 4 (December 2000).
